Built in Rio Grande, Itutinga, Minas Gerais, “Camargos” Hydroelectric Power Plant started its operations in 1960 and has 2 generating units, totaling 45 MW of installed power. Camargos dam is made up by an earth embankment and a concrete dike and has about 608 m of crest length and 36 m of maximum height.
Its reservoir has a volume of 792 hm³ and an area of 73.35 km².
