“Water for All” Program
Federal Government action program to universalize access to water for populations that do not have this essential service.
Making each and every basic resource accessible is a value we have always preserved. And the Water for All Program is an additional initiative of “Brazil Without Poverty” Plan, which brings together several actions of the Federal Government, in the search to universalize the broad access and use of water for populations who do not have this essential public service, fulfilling its responsibility for social sustainability.
The project seeks to promote universal access to water in rural areas for human consumption, aiming at food and nutritional safety for the most vulnerable families. Therefore, the Water for All Program responds to the demand for the mitigation of problems caused by long droughts that mainly affect the North and Northeast regions of Minas Gerais State, in addition to underprivileged populations living in rural communities with precarious access to water or who are served by systems of insufficient supply.
Main goals of the Water for All Program
Promote universal access to water in rural areas for human consumption. The supply of quality water, for human consumption, is carried out especially through the installation of artesian wells.
