Gasmig is an exclusive distributor of piped natural gas and is present throughout the Minas Gerais territory, by authorization granted by the State of Minas Gerais. It has potential to serve industrial, general use, residential, compressed natural gas, liquefied natural gas, automotive and thermoelectric segments. Altogether, it supplies 617 million m³ of distributed natural gas.

Cemig Distribution S/A (or Cemig D) is the largest electricity distributor in Brazil in terms of grid extension, serving approximately 96% of Minas Gerais State. In addition, it has the highest level of service to low-income consumers in the country, delivering electricity to 42.9% of all residential consumers.

Norte Energia is responsible for the construction and operation of the Belo Monte HPP, the largest plant 100% Brazilian, with a 4,571 MW average physical guarantee. Belo Monte started operating in April 2016 and its installed capacity of 11,233.1 MW was achieved in November 2019, when the last of the 24 generation units of the project became operational. In 2022, Belo Monte produced 37,193 GWh of energy, which corresponds to 6.3% of the entire energy generated in Brazil in the year. With its seasonal generation regime due to the Xingu River inflows, the plant produced over 13% of Brazil's total energy in March, the peak of generation, contributing to the economic and social development of the country through the generation of clean, renewable, and reliable energy.

Occupying the third position among the largest generators in the country, Cemig, through its wholly owned subsidiaries, controlled and affiliated generation, has a total of 89 plants in operation and an installed capacity of 5.9 Gigawatts In the transmission area, Cemig, through its electricity transmission subsidiaries and affiliates, operates a grid of over 10,000 km. This system is responsible for transporting the large blocks of energy from the major generating centers to the consumer centers, making it possible, through the transmission substations scattered throughout the several regions of the concession area, to serve the sub transmission and distribution systems.
